"They took out what made socom great during my time on s1 and s2. If they wanted to get one up on slant six, and by stating themselves that s2 was the benchmark for them, well this is the wrong way about it!"

I think you have valid concerns, as do I. However, I think it still too early to tell one way or the other how Socom IV will turn out... especially the multiplayer, which we know nothing about yet. As long as they keep it like Socom II for online, I don't c...

If they can capture just a fraction of what made Socom II amazing, then I will be happy. When the ps3 was first announced all I could think about was what a next gen Socom would and could be. To me, Confrontation was like a have a girl text message you saying you're 'cute'--it's cool but nothing to get excited about... Socom 4 will hopefully be like having sex with two women at the same time while while another eight naked women wash your car and paint your house--metaphorica...

Clever... oh, wait, it wasn't.

Superbowl hangover plus Madden curse = Saints destined for failure.

Brees might just have put the nail on his own coffin... the Madden curse isn't just a curse, it's a fact of life!! lol

And my dislike for Madden 11 already begins. Some of the rankings seem pretty good, while others make no sense. But, as anyone who's played Madden extensively can attest to, rankings and stats (especially player stats) are meaningless.

I'm tired of people saying they're "tired of shooters"... no one cares. There are plenty of other games genres out there... go play them and stop complaining.

"Mitchell, my issue with the K2 controls was that it was hard to have no auto-aim (not lock on), with analog sticks. Analog sticks are not the most precise thing to use especially when you forgo the use of auto-aim."

So basically, you're not good at console shooters if the game doesn't aim for you? Your first paragraph rant there makes you sound very uncoordinated... I mean, really, you had that much trouble turning in KZ2 (even after 100hrs)?

I was kind of thinking along the same lines, actually. When you look at Sev in the teaser, he has a beard (which implies some time has passes since KZ2) and he appears more pail (similar to how the Helghast look). The planet of Helghan changed the Helghast into what they are now... so it makes sense that prolonged exposure to the planet would effect the ISA troops as well. Like you said, they only planned a the invasion to last a month (which is great military planning lol) but it clearly--ba...

I think the Inglorious Bastards reference is more about how big a role culture and language play in the war. The devs already stated they want to explore those sides of the Helghast this time... my guess: You play a few missions undercover, then find some of the humane side of the Helghast (which the devs said will be shown in KZ3). Either way, it is exciting, and I think the story will be much better--and well written too.

I have not bought a basketball game in years. They are horrible. None of the physics, animations, stats, etc... make any sense. They just are not fun to play... and all the devs seem to do is add gimmicks and change the look--instead of rebuilding the game to make it functional.

Also, keep in mind, the transition KZ2 went through from pre-alpha to the final build was quite drastic (graphically). Expect no less from KZ3. This game is in a league with only Uncharted 2 on consoles. It might even give Crysis 2 on PC a run for it's money.... not in the texture department or resolution, but in many other graphical aspects (lighting, animations, post processing effects, etc). Is my comparison to Crysis 2 premature and perhaps overzealous? Sure. But nothing else can be c...

You have to love the sense of what is morally right to some people, huh? No problem killing people in a video game (very violently too in KZ2) but if they say F*** too many times while doing it, oh no! That's taking it too far... it's tasteless! lol

5722d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

*sighs* There was nothing wrong with the controls. They were different than some shooters and similar to others. And, as far as I could tell from playing tons of hours, there was no 'lag' in the movement. It was a design choice to give them character a sense of weight, which I loved.
Also, I appreciate your analysis of why the game "didn't sell what it should"... it makes sense... because if it had controls like COD then it obviously would have sold 5 million c...

First, I'll start by saying I have not been in a war nor fought in a battle. But, I have been in many fights in my day and cursing every other word is common. It is the nature of conflict. If you have played any competitive sports with men, then you'll know, that cursing happens all the time. Cursing every five seconds--as people seem to generalize KZ2 as doing--is something that happens in the heat of conflict. KZ2, in my opinion, was trying to portray that realistically in a video g...

That's because the pc footage you've seen that "blows this away" is from the Witcher 2. This is not the Witcher 2, just a port of the original that never happened.

I actually think realism wasn't the problem, I personally loved it. However, I agree about the repetitiveness of it. And also, make it so i can actually buy meaningful things with my money (i had like 1/2 million dollars and nothing to buy lol)

I hope they improve the character movement in third person perspective. I rather play the game like that, however, in both Oblivion and Fallout 3 the movement felt so cheap--like I was just floating around everywhere. I don't mind the graphics looking the same, just improve the animations and gameplay and fix the glitchiness!!

that was the whole point of the "brown setting".

I'm surprised Wardevil isn't on this list. I don't recall the game being officially canceled, however, I don't imagine it coming out. I was in the boat that it wasn't vaporware... but I guess I was wrong. It's a shame too because that game looked like it could've been awesome.

Look for heavy GOWIII influence and new standards not to be set. That's my prediction anyway!
